(Forbes) Super Active 32-Year-Old Dealmaker Is Japan’s Newest Billionaire

Shunsaku Sagami, the 32-year-old founder and CEO of M&A Research Institute Holdings, a mergers and acquisitions brokerage, is Japan’s newest billionaire. Shares of the company, which specializes in M&As of small and medium-size firms, have skyrocketed and are up more than 340% since its listing last June. Sagami’s 73% stake in the firm is now worth just over $1 billion, based on Friday’s closing price of ¥10,090 ($74.36).
Founded in 2018, the M&A Research Institute uses artificial intelligence to match potential buyers with companies that are typically facing the risk of closure, despite being profitable, because their owners are aging and unable to find successors.
